Above the Pups had a chance to visit my father Ralph Muir "Their Grandfather" Who would have dearly loved the pups with all of his heart and he would have never missed a competition or show or anything involving the dogs if he would have still been alive. So many times we still truly believe he is watching over all of us and guiding us.

Nothing much going on. Trip to Spain in Three weeks, trying to get some work in with the pups. Rocket seems to be playing better then he has ever played.

Just going along, James Fox who is actively serving in our armed forces drove up from Savannah for some lessons yesterday. It was great him and Riley. Just training somedays and somedays not. Lots of wet ground out there lately and Stacey does not like me bringing muddy dogs in the house.

On Jan 2nd I was lucky enough to be able to take Rocket and Gipper with some fellow disc doggers and we performed at Halftime of the Atlanta Falcons game. It was a great way to start off the new year.

WOW-VICTORY I think this was huge. The NFL Atlanta Falcons held a fans vote for who they wanted for their last home games Halftime Show and after a long vote it came down to a two team vote. The Frisbee Doggers vs ESPN X Games BMXers and the Frisbee Doggers pulled out the huge win and will be representing disc doggers all over the world on Jan 2nd 2011! What a Great win for the sport of Frisbee /Disc dogging. I hope this will also lead Disc doggers to better shows in the future!! Way to GO DISC DOGGERS!

Wow well we had a mini tournament and get together at our house, the first one ever. I considered it a great success. I think over 100 different teams competed in the different categories and everyone went away very happy and we had a nice get together in the Barn afterwardsd.

Some very good news. I just purchased a whole bunch of Hyperflite Products at a great price due to the volume I got them at. So if anyone is interested in getting some Hyperflite Products in the future I think I might be able to get them at a good price. I can drive up to the Hyperflite Warehouse and pick them up if the order is big enough and I can ship them via USA Mail which is usually half the cost of shipping it Fed Express or UPS. So if interested send me a email.

Well we are less then a week from the Holther Borders 1st Annual Reunion at our house. This should really be fun for Thunder and Irish to see and visit with their siblings. Gipper and I will actually be competing in our first agility competition next Sunday and nope we have not practiced at all I am going just to play with him. The Rest of the Pups are rolling along and we are not getting much practice in right now but trying to get a little in. Making a huge transistion in discs I am changing over to Hyperflite Competition Standard Discs Regular and Lite. I bought some a few weeks back and have been playing with them a little bit and I really like them so far. Seems like the dogs love them also.

Hello
Yesterday my friend my Germany Julia Zimmerman Arrived to stay with us for a week and play disc and play the next weekend at USDDN Finals then Julia is going to California to compete in UFO Finals.
Our friends from California Beth and Laurie stayed a day with us before they headed to Holthers to pick up two new puppies.
I am still not back 100% from my mini strokes but getting better. I will have to hope I can get some work in with my dogs before USDDN Finals.
I am working on a few trips to Europe in 2011 to do seminars. I am really excited then in the fall or winter I might be traveling really far for a third seminar in 2011.
The pups are all doing great hoping I can start to playing with them again.

Wow a lot has happened since my last post.
Well first I will talk about the Skyhoundz World Disc Dog Championships. We headed up to Chattanooga Tennessee with hopes of qualifying a few dogs in the freestyle portions of that weekends World Championships. After the dust settled Rocket and Gipper had qualified and Irish just barely missed out. Gipper also qualifed in the Distance and Accuracy.
Well come Saturday of the World Championships for Freestyle. Gipper went out and had one of his best rounds ever and Rocket soon followed with a great round. Well the first round scores rolled in and Gipper was in first by 2 points and Rocket followed closely in a Tie for Second. "THEN" I started to feel weird and I went to throw my distance portion of the FS and my throws were all over the place and I could not figure out what was going wrong. My mind was just not working right. Little did I know what was to follow.
Well we finished strong in Freestyle but we did not reach the top three podium.
Distance went ok on Sunday as Rocket and Irish made it to the finals and we did not make the podium again.
But after this weekend I was so so proud of my pups.
Then I got home and headed to work early Monday AM and I started getting a weird feeling again like on Saturday then I got out of bed that Tuesday Morning at Work and I started to lose feeling in my right side of my body. Next thing you know I am in the hospital for three days and I had what was called a T. I . A. which is better known as a Mini Stroke. It was very scary and I am finally back home recovering.
I was truly blessed by all of the get well wishes and my wife and I greatly thank each and every one of you.

As you can see the site has changed a bunch and I thought it was time for a change.
We are winding down towards the end of the season with the Skyhoundz Worlds and the USDDN Worlds for Georgia Irish Disc Dogs to still attend and maybe one other tourney and also we have at least one more demo scheduled for 2010 and it will be at The Rock Ranch on October 23rd.
We have the incredibly long time planned Holthers Border Collie Reunion scheduled for Mid November with a lot of the festitivities being held at our house that weekend. It will be a incredible event.
We have some huge things planned for 2011, many things I cannot mention. This past week Lupine Collars and Leads started to graciously sponsor us with their great products.
We have had a couple of really neat disc dogging seminar possibilities for 2011 come our way this week also.
Look forward to competing with all four of the dogs in 2011.
Hoping to have the field fully ready in spring of 2011. Maybe even possibly have a small competition on it also in 2011.
I also plan on putting together some video interviews of competitors at some of the tournaments for your enjoyment and just getting to know your fellow competitors better.
Please email your tournament dates for 2011 as soon as possible to nd1muir@yahoo.com even the ones you tentatively know.
"BRANDY" West wishing me a speedy recovery from when I got sick.
